I found the reason for the crazy BG numbers....

It was i-port advance change day on Tuesday.  So Tuesday at bedtime we took the #i-port off.  There was yucky pus that came out.  I squeezed it a little and whole bunch came out :-( So I guess  her insulin was not absorbing very well.  We have changed the port and numbers are back to normal again.   On top of that she was also suffering from a little head cold.  Candy seems to be feeling much better now!  Very happy about that.

I have found this super cool new meter that is coming to Canada/USA this year!  Just waiting for FDA approval!  I can't wait for this!  It is call Dario.  It hooks up to your smart phone and puts all your data on to the phone in their app from #googleplaystore or #appstore.  I am so excited to see and get my hands on this new meter.  Check it out at here.

Currently we are using the Accu Chek Mobile and we LOVE it.  But you can't put your carbs and insulin into this meter.  I love to have everything all in one spot.  For Candy, it just makes it easier to input everything all at once on an easy to use app.

#insulinpump update:
So we have been approved for full funding for her insulin pump.  We decided on the medtronic pump just because it has the #CGM along with it.  The problem is that we have to wait until we go to a insulin pump class, scheduled for September 25th.  We will also be meeting with the rep on the morning of the 26th to have more questions and more details conversations regarding the pump.  Then we have to wait up to 3 months to get a start date for the pump at the IWK.  It's such a slow process.  I wish there was a more efficient way at getting a pump.
